Overview
Resources is a page in RHODS that allows users to navigate through learning resources such as quick starts, documentation, how to's and tutorials. It has both a catalog view and a list view that users can switch between to navigate information.
Design process
Catalog view

When designing the resources page, a catalog view is suitable for multiple reasons:
- A catalog view allows the user to present a large amount of data in a structured and organised manner. Users can locate items of interest which reduces cognitive load.
- The user can use filters to refine their search, by entering a key word or sorting the catalog view by name.
- Catalog views make it easy to compare each item side by side, allowing the user to make quick informed decisions.
- Users are more likely to explore more options leading to increased engagement in learning resources.
List view

- Lists provide a structured format making it easier for users to navigate through the page. The user should be able to differentiate between each header and sub-header, making it efficient to scan for information.
- List views resemble real world scenarios that users encounter regularly, such as to-do lists. This familiarity contributes to a comfortable and intuitive interaction.
- Loading times can be quicker when data is presented in a list.
- Lists have the ability to handle diverse content types, including text, images, links, labels and buttons. This makes lists a suitable option for presenting a variety of information.
