Projects view - OpenShift Data Science

Overview
OpenShift Data Science enables collaboration within a common platform to bring IT, data science, and application development teams together.
Users can create and manage projects to organise and manage data science workloads, applications and resources.
Data Science Projects
Empty state
When creating a project, user is presented with an empty state, a screen that is not yet populated with information. Empty states contain a short message and next steps for the user. The ‘Create data science project’ is a highlighted action button to help direct the user.

Example of Data Science Projects view when no projects have been created.
Creation form
A modal with a form is presented when the user wants to create a data science project. Each project has its own set of resources including services and storage. These resources can be used to deploy and manage data science workloads and applications. When the user enters a name it will also automatically enter into Resource name space.
Helper text
Helper text is an on-screen field guideline that helps provide context regarding field inputs. When creating a project, the user is advised to follow requirements.

Empty state
Once a project is created, the user is presented with an empty state to allow for total customisation of a project. This is a detailed view of the project settings that can be modified. Each button will lead the user to a different page setting.
Example of the ‘Components’ page after creating a project.
Once each section has been completed, the user will be presented with an overview of the details of a project.

Expandable section
Users can gather information of the project by navigating to the expandable sections.
Users can click on ‘Open’ on the right side of the page and be taken to a higher level environment to deploy models.

Example of where the user clicks on the expandable section in ‘Wind turbines’ and ‘Open’.
Jump links
Jump links allow users to navigate to sections within a page. Users can switch between ‘Components’ and ‘Permissions’. The user can apply different permissions for users to a project.

Example of switching to Permissions from Components while staying within the same space.
Link
When the user clicks on a name of a project they will be taken to the projects detail page. This is seen above in the example of the projects details page after data is input.
When the user clicks on Data Science Projects on the left side, they will be presented with existing projects. The user can press the skip to content component next to ‘Wind turbines’ under ‘Workbench’. It will allow the user to access the workbench in a higher level environment.
Switch
A switch under the Status column allows users to turn on or off the workbench pod. Once the switch is turned on, the status changes from ‘Stopped’ to ‘Starting’, and finally to ‘Running’.
Dropdown
A kebab was included in the design so that the user can have the options to edit and delete a project all within the same page.
